Undergraduate Programs

If you would like an exciting and rewarding career where you will have the ability to work in a number of different industries and environments, then choosing to major in a business field is the right choice for you. Fortunately, the School of Management offers a selection of career-ready undergraduate degree programs that will help make your career goals and dreams a reality. For an in-depth look at the programs offered, simply click on the menu to the right.

The School of Management also provides hands-on learning opportunities to enrich students’ classroom experiences. We believe students do not truly learn or get the big picture until they have had the chance to put their knowledge and skills to the test. In order to promote this core belief our BA Internship Program and co-curricular learning opportunities provide students with the opportunity to practice business skills in actual business environments, network with current working professionals, or attend expert panels on campus. For information on the opportunities provided please see the information below.

BA Internship Program

The Business Internship Program is a degree requirement for all BA School of Management students. However, we like to look at it as more of an opportunity versus a requirement. The program is designed to complement and enrich the educational environment by providing students with a hands-on learning experience within the business world. It provides an opportunity for the student to develop more tools for their career toolbox, and have a leg up on the competition when looking for meaningful full time employment upon graduation.

The four main goals of the Business Internship experience are to:

  • Provide students with the opportunity to learn business skills in a mentored environment.
  • Help students build their resume for future employment opportunities.
  • Receive academic credit in an on-the-job work experience.
  • Complete out of classroom training related to long-term career goals.

School of Management students are able to complete their internship experience anywhere in the world. The majority of students complete their internship in the Portland-metro area, but we have had a number of students intern over the summer in their hometown, in another part of the country or the world. Most recently we have had students intern with the following organizations:

  • Oregonsports.com
  • Waddell & Reed
  • Merina & Company, LLP
  • World Domination Summit
  • NIKE, Inc.
  • R/West
  • McNeil Wilson Communications
  • Acumed, LLC
  • Paul Wathen CPA, LLC
  • Snohomish County PUD
  • RIPS Baseball Training
  • Acura of Honolulu
  • Leupold & Stevens, Inc.
