Putting Your Experience to Work
Concordia’s healthcare administration (HCA) bachelor’s degree program is designed for working professionals who seek new skills and tools to move ahead in the healthcare industry. The program features a cohort model with a small group of students who move through the 16-month curriculum together. Classes are held one night a week, with periodic weekend short courses – all taught by experienced healthcare leaders. Students learn healthcare finance, human resources, strategic planning, quality assessment, and healthcare management skills. It’s the ideal way to enhance your career in healthcare while helping to better the world.
The Concordia HCA program is capped with an intensive internship in the student’s area of study, giving you the real-world experience today’s employers are looking for. The result is a strengthened resume, along with the confidence and skills required for taking the next step in contributing to the wellness of the community.
- Instructors share real-world experiences, explore the latest theories of practice, and have extensive contracts for internships and job opportunities
- The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 22 percent growth in medical and health services careers through 2020
- The accelerated learning schedule allows students to accomplish academic goals while maintaining career and family commitments
“Concordia’s HCA program gave me the tools necessary to become an effective healthcare administrator, giving me the confidence to tackle challenging projects at work.
