English for Speakers of Other Languages

The Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction: English for Speakers of Other Languages is a concentration for teachers in all authorization levels who want to develop instructional strategies to better accommodate students whose native language is not English. With the addition of a practicum, which includes the teaching of a work sample and the passing of the ORELA ESOL exam, the concentration can be added to an existing license as an additional endorsement

ESOL Endorsement Requirements

*If a candidate wishes to add the endorsement to a current License EDCI 585 should be selected, and a work sample executed and taught. To add endorsement to license, the ORELA Exam must be taken and passed.
