Strong partnerships create a stronger community
We believe partnerships help create an entire education ecosystem where everyone involved can fulfill their highest potential. All of our partners – including nonprofits, businesses, donors, families, friends, and neighbors – contribute to the shared goal of creating safer, healthier, more educated communities.
Community engagement is essential to Concordia’s mission of preparing leaders for the transformation of society. In the words of Concordia University President, Dr. Charles Schlimpert, “What’s good for the community is good for Concordia.”
Concordia’s partnerships take many forms and include nonprofit organizations, school districts, industry groups, health systems, businesses, philanthropic foundations, individuals, community groups, and more.
Our work with these groups runs the gamut from volunteerism to internships, service trips, training and curriculum development to creating new, innovative approaches to local and global challenges – such as our 3 to PhD® initiative.
The power of partnerships
Raising up leaders for the transformation of society takes an entire community. Through collaboration and partnerships, we can listen, learn, and work together to make the greatest collective impact – in education, in our community, and in the lives of those we reach through our dedication to service.
Concordia University acknowledges and thanks the following groups for their service to the community. Some are long time partners with us, some are newly forming relationships with service opportunities, and others are groups who gather regularly on our campus. We honor each and every one of you.
“A true partnership is a win/win where 1 + 1 = 3, in that coming together creates an added benefit to the community, not just two partners coming together.” -- Gary Withers, Chief Strategic Relations Officer, Concordia University
